Twilight (finished)

Why I choose to read Twilight is because, basically, everyone I know has read it. The Main characters are:
Edward Cullen- A 108 year old vampire who looks seventeen with honey eyes and hair, who can read minds.
Bella Swan- A 16 year girl who is part albino with brown hair that has red streaks through it, and brown eyes.
Jacob Black- A dark haired Native American boy who, in New Moon, turns into a werewolf.
Renee Swan- Bella's mother, not married to the father.
Charlie Swan- Bella's father, not married to the mother.
Emmet and Rosalie Cullen- Emmet is somewhere is a vampire that is in his 90's, but looks teenage, with short hair and muscles. Rosalie is a beautiful vampire in her 70's, but looks late teens, with blond hair.
Carlisle and Esme Cullen- Carlisle is a 120-some-year-old vampire with blond hair that can resist blood who looks like he is in his late 20's. Esme is an 80-year-old vampire who looks likes she is in her late 20's.
Alice and Jasper Hail- Jasper Hail is a quiet vampire who was turned during the civil war, which was a war between vampire, to be a sergeant, he looks mid-20's and can control people's emotions. Alice Hail is in her 100's and looks late teens, she was in an insane asylum for her visions, while locked up an older vampire found her and turned her, once turned, her visions became longer and clearer so she can predict the future.

The author, Stephenie Meyer, reveals the characters in a direct way.

The setting is in Forks, Washington, where it is rainy and mossy all year round. The reason it is in Forks is because if a vampire, like Edward, Emmet, Charlisle, Jasper, Rosalie, Esme, and Alice are, gets exposed to sunlight they shimmer. The time is present.

The basic summary of the book is as follows.
Bella's mom has a boyfriend and he is a minor league and has to travel to Florida, so Bella goes and to live with her dad. She moves to Forks, meets Edward Cullen, Goes to La Push, meets Jacob Black, almost gets killed but Edward saved her. She goes to Port Angeles, gets lost and almost raped but gets saved, again by Edward, discovered that he is a Vampire. Goes to Edwards house, meets the rest of the Olympian Coven. Plays Baseball with them, in a thunder storm, gets tracked be James, an evil vampire. Gets fooled into going to Phoenix by James, almost gets turned it to a vampire ,but Edward saves her, and he kills James and burns James' body. Then Bella wakes up in the hospital. Later they go to prom together.

Altogether the book was really good. I would not change any of it, but while reading the book I saw the movie and I would change some of that, but this blog is about the book not the movie. There are four main books in the series: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. There is a fifth one that won't be released in stores, its only online, called Midnight Sun and it is basically Edwards point of view on all four books.

I would recommend book to a freind, except all my freinds have read the book so I would recommend the book to anyone who wasn't read it.
